The Transport Benevolent Fund
I have now reviewed all the quotations we received in connection with our proposed office move on 5 March and I am writing to let you know that we would like to accept your quotation.
In our view you came up with the best solution to overcome the lack of storage space in our existing office for both empty and loaded crates; and provided a useful resource and activity schedule to which both sides can work to ensure a smooth and trouble-free removal.
Thank you again for providing the quotation and such comprehensive information. I look forward to working with you to ensure this office move goes ahead as smoothly as possible.
Mr Haynes
Catlin & Wellington Insurance
Six years ago I was asked to carry out a small internal move for Catlin Insurance Company, at that time I worked as a partner in another removal business, unfortunately, the business could no longer continue, due to my partners inexperience with customer care, and unprofessional attitude, therefore I left, and started Best Move Forward. Catlin Insurance were notified of my departure, and their response was fantastic, as I was on site most of the time, planning moves and changes, they knew they could rely on the service I provided, there words were "where you go, Catlins work goes".
In early 2006, Catlin took over Wellington Insurance for two billion pownds, Best Move Forward had to empty their building at 88 Leadenhall Street, and placed all of their office furniture into our storage facility. This amounted to approximately 200 storage containers. We then had to move personnel from Leadenhall Street to Mincing Lane, we intergrated over 350 staff over one weekend. The whole project took 3 months to finish, and was a complete success.
We continue to work in Catlins offices, throughout the UK and Europe, on a weekly basis, and continue to keep to time schedules and compliance.
Catlin Insurance updated their computer equipment in their offices throughout Europe:
1) They ordered new equipment to be delivered to their Paris office.
2) They booked a removal team in Paris to accept delivery and then take to
the 7th floor.
3) IT personnel were flown out to install the new equipment.
All the logistics of this operation had to be carried out on the same day, result, failure.
1st date
The Vehicle didn't arrive on the day
2nd date
The removal company in Paris refused to carry the delivery up to the 7th floor
3rd date
The vehicle didn't arrive again, therefore a complete logistical disaster.
Catlin then arranged to have all the equipment delivered to our storage facility, where we loaded our vehicles, and travelled overnight to Paris, then unloaded the delivery in the morning, and carried up to the 7th floor, with no lift, Catlins IT staff then arrived pm to connect the equipment, and flew back to London pm, result, success.
We have now completed timed deliveries to, Paris, Cologne, Munich, and Innsbruck, and all installations have been a success.
We continue to make frequent deliveries and carry out moves in all major cities in Europe.
